In minnesota there are so many talented young artist, but most of them don't get too far because the critics goes in hard on their day job by criticizing and not being none supportive. They use every chance they can to criticize at whatever anybody is trying to accomplish. Some individauls take it far to the head and listens and others just brush it right off. For example, upcoming Hip Hop artist "CHEE" from Brooklyn Park, MN had to face the same situation, but instead of letting it bring him down. He decided to go in head first and let the critics know how he felt. This past week, CHEE dropped his well anticipated mixtape "IQuit My Day Job.", which pretty much was a slap in the face to his critics. I had some time to talk to CHEE about the mixtape.
We chopped it up and he told me how he came up with the name of the mixtape. He said it was more directed to the haters that didn't believe he had a chance of going any further in his rap career. Being that it is something he love doing and want to pursue, he kept at it. Well Im not going lie, I wasn't a fan at first either, though he was a homie of mines, but because now a days everybody wanna be a rapper. It was more like.."ugh here go another one". But the homie CHEE is on his grind. He been at it for a minute now, it was only right for me to show him some love. I had time to listen to few of his tracks on the tape and I sort of picked out my favorites. One of them which was " NO MONEY I'M BROKE"ft Poncho. I always was a sucka for that fast pace tempo. His deliverance was on point. Yours may differ, but aye feel free to check it out. It's official and worth listening to.

This week Chris Brown went on some twitter rants about being blackballed by major chains. This is a business, and a man should be allowed to make a living despite his past mistakes. The backlash from Chris Brown's twitter rants caused him to delete his twitter page and many media outlets took the opportunity to bash him on blogs. But when the word got out a few fans took to twitter to expose the truth. Chris Brown CD is simply not being sold at walmart and frankly I think that's messed up. MY 6 MONTH PLAN I HAD CAME WITH A DETOUR ATTACHED TO IT. IM NOW BACK ON TRACK THOU. IM READY FOR BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS TO HAPPEN. THERE IS STILL TWO MONTHS LEFT TILL 2010 IS HERE, THAT IS ENOUGH TIME TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD. IMMA GO BACK TO THE LAB NOW AND BRING OUT WHAT HAS LONG BEEN ANTICIPATED FROM ME.

As a kid growing up in Monrovia, Liberia, times got really tough. There were nights when I went to bed with an empty stomach, there were times when I eat like there was no tomorrow. I always worried about what I was going to eat the next day even when there was enough food with alot of mouths to feed. Now that I'm living in America a whole lot have changed. We have enough that we just waste it. When I think back to the times we didn't have it, I check myself and realize that I got it real good now. When I see pictures like the one above, I am inspired by those that are staying stronge with an empty stomach. They are my hero, because I know what it is like to be in their position.

Growing up as a child, my dream has always been to live life to the fullest when I become successful or with any potential opportunities given to me. With these potentials, I will try to live life as if there is no tomorrow, especially when it comes to accomplishing my daily goals and tasks. I have come to realize that the life we are blessed with is nothing to be taken for granted, more or less; something to cherish. As we pass this on to the next generation, I ask that we implement the right messages into our communities stating that we all have a dream and they all have the potential to become of something.As an adolescent, my dream has been to someday become a fashion designer. Through my dream as a designer, I came to conclude that I would like for my designing work to inspire everyone. I would like my work to portray the positive aspects of life. (e.g.) not settling for less, but what you aspire to deserve. Whenever I am asked about my dream, these are the things that come to mind right away. Yes indeed there are going to be break walls as I try to fulfill my dreams, but with no doubt, I will work through it and set my eyes on the prize. I strive to stay motivated, strong minded, and persistent at every task I come across . Yes!!!!! THAT’S MY DREAM . what’s your?

This morning I woke up feeling real good. I finally made up my mind to get some rest last night. The past couple of days I been staying up real late. I cleaned my room and even had enough time to give myself a clean cut as always. I got all fresh and ready for school. Going to the bus stop I thought I was all set, but you know what..? I MISS THE DAMN BUS...!! right when I was getting there it started to leave. So I decided, you know what; lets get something to eat. I went to KFC order my food and drink. WHILE GETTING MY DRINK I HIT THE BUTTON TO GET SERIA MIST. I hurried out the door to go to the next bus stop. When I got there, I try getting some of my drink. COME TO FIND OUT IT WAS NOT SERIA MIST..IT WAS SOME NASTY SPARKLING WATER OF SOME SORT..I couldnt drink it at all..Ughh!! Time to get on the bus..I started to look for my bus token, I COULDNT FIND IT...DAMN..!! I know...it sucks bad..!! but yea I had to walk my butt to school..WHEN I GOT HOME AND SAW THE DAMN TOKEN ON THE TABLE, I didn't even want to look at it..HORRIBLE HUH..? I KNOW..I Hope you had a better day.. Until next time...

According to a police report, officers were called to the Forrest City Medical Center, September 1, 2008, about a baby that had been sexually assaulted. Forrest City police say the baby also had a skull fracture and had to be transferred to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock because of the severity of the injuries.

Investigators say the father attacked the infant during a visit at her 15 year-old mother's house. Police say other people were at the home at the time of the assault.

Police say Davis had no criminal record since turning 18, but could not say whether Davis had a juvenile RAP Sheet. The information could not be released under Arkansas state law, said investigators.

Police say the infant’s father, 18 year-old Reginald Davis, has been charged with Rape and Second-Degree Battery. The case is still under investigation and it is unknown if any other arrests will be made, said Forrest City Police.

Davis is being held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in circuit court on September 17.

I just watched Krush Groove for the first time last weekend. For those who don’t know, it’s based on Russell Simmons assistingin the launch of his brother Rev’s group, Run DMC.

The ridiculous over0-the-top 80’s style, very pubescent looking Beastie Boys, and hilarious Fat Boys all gave me a good laugh.

It was crazy watching Russell’s struggle, and the next day I happened to bump into him while I was on a coffee run!

Along with the actual members of Run DMC, Fat Boys, and Blair Underwood (in his first movie), another huge star in the movie was Adidas – those vintage tracksuits and sneakers were everywhere!

The brand has naturally joined forces with Def Jam to commemorate the label and some of its individual artists, like Redman and Jeezy.
